The Story of Kingston Cottage Candle Co.

Hi, I’m Stephanie—wife, mother, graduate student, and the hands behind Kingston Cottage Candle Co. My husband Sam and I always dreamed of building a small business together, something rooted in home, creativity, and intention.

That dream quietly simmered in the background for years. Then, after the birth of our first son, during his naps in our Kingston, Rhode Island cottage, I started pouring candles as Christmas gifts. I was enjoying it as a creative outlet, and candle-making quickly became more than a hobby. The process felt grounding. The scents reminded me of home. The joy was immediate.

With Sam’s encouragement (and lots of trial and error), I began crafting scents that captured the slow, cozy rhythm of cottage life. In August 2023, Kingston Cottage Candle Co. officially opened its doors.
